Hosts
This clear distinction avoids the common impression that all six countries will stage the entire tournament to the same extent.
Most of the tournament is expected to take place in these three countries.
One centenary match is planned in each of these three South American countries.
Why six countries?
The first World Cup was held in Uruguay in 1930. Uruguay hosted and won it, Argentina were finalists, and Paraguay is home to CONMEBOL. Each of these countries will therefore host one centenary match. The rest of the tournament will mainly take place in Morocco, Portugal and Spain.
